Back in Action

I've been a poor poster as of late, but it doesn't seem that I've had a lot to post about in my life. It's been cold and snowy all around us so we haven't taken a lot of trips, however, we have done a bit of baking. Here's John making me his DELICIOUS peanut butter cookies. We're having our small group from church over tomorrow, so these will be perfect!

It seems my friends have had a load of great news with the new arrival a little one and another that's expecting. Congrats to you both!

Since I don't have a lot to share, I'm posting the quilt I made for the newborn. This was my first attempt at a quilt, so I know it's not perfect, but I still thought it was cute.

I really need to start carrying around my camera so I can share some of the bizarre things that I see here in Colorado. It's a different world out here! Right after I get off the computer I'm putting my camera in my purse. Stay tuned for more posts ...

Kids in Need are Everywhere

We just launched a website for a non-profit - www.KidsAidColorado.org - and its staggering to find how many kids in our own communities are going hungry. It's not just the children in third-world countries anymore ... or has it ever been?

Take time to read this about the Kids Aid program and how horrible a problem hunger is in the area. Thank goodness for organizations like Kids Aid and their weekend backpack meals. It's reassuring to know that folks still have a heart for the children in our home towns.
