Is anyone else getting spammed in the comment section of their blogs? I'm getting all kinds of comments that include links for medications. How do I get rid of it?
There are a couple of things you can do to help with the spam. On the Dashboard, go to Settings, then Comments.
The first option is to turn on comment moderation. If you turn this on, you have to approve comments before they're posted online. So it doesn't prevent spam, but if you don't approve the comment it won't show up on the post.
The second option is to turn on word verification for comments. This is the option I use on my public blogs. Even with this turned on, I sometimes get spam, but it's very uncommon - maybe once or twice a year. Hope this helps!
